Maybe for starting to program you don’t need math. But you kind of hit a point way too soon like which data structure or algorithm to use you need to understand a little math more than arithmetic.

If you need to work on buzz industry like machine learning, DL and data analysis ,learning a way lot more math is required.

If we are to get quality programmers we need them to be educated about programming (at least start learning more math)and not just literate about programming.
